Obelix REN was bred in the Netherlands from a successful VDL stud dam-line and imported as a three year old stallion, approved AES.  He has since been lifetime approved with Oldenburg/ISR, Danish Warmblood Association, and activated with Westfalen Verband and KWPN-NA for 2026. His bloodlines combine the best of German and Dutch breeding including the legendary, De Niro, Krack C, Sandro Hit, and Rubinstein. ​

Josh picked up training and competing Obelix REN after his arrival at the ranch. Obelix has competed in both the FEI 4- and FEI 5-year-old classes with scores up to 81.4%. ​At their first show of the 2025/2026 winter season, they passed the 70% mark at 4th level, their first qualifier for the 6-yo class.
